October 2012 wallpaper

I think many people will agree with me when I say October is the month that truly represents autumn. The leaves are beginning to turn color in earnest, the nights—and days—are getting chillier, and there's a hint of frost instead of early morning dew. For those reasons, and others, I'd say October is one of my favorite months of the year, if not actually the favorite.

But October is also known for creepy, scary things. Things like ghosts, goblins, and election debates— culminating, of course, in All Hallows Eve. I think, though, that nothing really creeps folks out more than spiders. No matter how small or innocuous they seem, when you get a good look at one, you automatically get creeped out. I know I do.

This guy probably won't be around much longer, but now he can hang around on your desktop, creeping you out for the entire month of October. So, if you can bring yourself to do it, click on the image to get him in all of his 2560 x 1600 pixel glory.

You're welcome. No, really.
